Meet your new secret weapon for high-impact training and weightlifting. With the new features the Metcon 5 shoes are a whole lot more performance enhancing than ever before. To celebrate the highly anticipated launch of the all new Nike Metcon 5 shoes, I was invited to a training session with Nike at London’s 12×3 Gym. This was the perfect opportunity to put the Metcon 5 shoes and the new Nike Pro Collection with new technology through its paces.
With a bespoke session put in place by the Nike trainers, it became evident very soon that the new Metcon 5 shoes was a whole new level to what I’ve worn in the gym in the past.
The Nike Metcon 5 is the most tuned Metcon yet. This involves stability for heavy lifting, traction made for speed and durability. It includes a Hyperlift insert that’s compatible with prior versions of the Metcon range. This gives that extra level of stability for those squats and deadlifts! Here are some of the key features:
Textured print on the top of the shoe adds lightweight durability where it’s needed.
Directional traction on the outsole wraps up the side of the shoe for grip when climbing a rope and speed when sliding down.
Foam is firmer under the heel for a secure feel and softer in the forefoot to cushion high-impact moves.
The good news is that the Metcon 5 training shoes are now available for you to get your hands onto. Retailing at £114.95 these training shoes are a real investment for your training regime. Head over to the Nike website to explore more and chose from the 5 colours which they are available in. If that isn’t enough – and if you are feeling creative – you can also design your own pair by visiting the Nike Metcon 5 By You section.
