It was a crisp November’s evening when Manu and I set off from Jersey City to Maine, USA in a car filled with fuel, outfits and snacks of course. The journey was roughly a 7 hour drive and as you can imagine, it was filled with good music, great conversation, Snapchat, Instagram and food (what else do you need in life?).
We got to Hannah’s place at 3am and the moment I got out of the car I had a stretch and just looked up and realised I was standing underneath a blanket of stars in the sky – it was an unforgettable sight. So why would we travel all the way to Maine for the weekend? I met Manu in the summer when I had dapper guys join me for The Wall Street Takeover shoot. It was after the shoot when Manu told me about an idea he had to put together a shoot in Maine which he dubbed “The Restoration of Gentry”. He mentioned horses, suits, guns, and good company so I was in!
So over the next few days Manu, Hannah Aishaa, Hannah Harleen and I chilled out and shot more or less the whole weekend. It was one of the most enjoyable weekend’s I had in the States, and one of the best things about it was that I got to meet new people and work with awesome creatives. It was also my first time riding a horse, which was quite the experience. But the shoot went well, and the weekend was a huge success in the end. So check out the exclusive pictures from my time in Maine and I would love to hear what you think of the outcome of the Restoration of Gentry shoot.
